Mr. Antonio Mata
Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
Howdy! My name is Antonio Mata. I have been working as the Lead Pre-Kindergarten (4)
Teacher since the 2021-2022 school year . I first joined Romero Academy at Resurrection Family when I moved from Houston to Cincinnati in 2020 to be the Seton Teaching Fellow for the Pre-K, Kindergarten and 3rd grade classrooms. I have my Bachelors in Theology with minors in Classical Languages and Education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and currently working on my Masters at Mount St. Josephs. I strive to educate the whole child as I promote growth not just academically, but socially and spiritually as well. I have only been in Cincinnati for 3 years but love the scenery and people that I have met since being here. I love to spend my free time running, going on hikes with my wife and dog, and seeing waterfalls!
My classroom saint is St. Martin de Porres and a quote I love from him is “Everything, even sweeping, scraping vegetables, weeding a garden and waiting on the sick could be a prayer, if it were offered to God.”
